✧ Sale of Excess Purchased Food Before Being Transferred from its Place

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَتَبَايَعُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي أَعَلَى السُّوقِ جِزَافًا فَنَهَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَبِيعُوهُ فِي مَكَانِهِ حَتَّى يَنْقُلُوهُ

Translation

✧ From Ibn Umar: They used to trade food in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the upper part of the market in bulk, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited them from selling it in its place until they moved it.
