أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُصَلِّي وَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ لَهُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ إِلَّا عُشْرُهَا أَوْ تُسْعُهَا أَوْ ثُمْنُهَا أَوْ سُبْعُهَا حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى آخِرِ الْعَدَدِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'A man may pray and have only a tenth of his prayer, or a ninth, or an eighth, or a seventh' until he reached the last number.
