أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

انْطَلَقَ بِي أَبِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتَ رَوَاحَةَ طَلَبَتْ إِلَيَّ أَنْ أَنْحَلَ يَعْنِي ابْنِي مِنْ مَالِي وَإِنِّي أَبَيْتُ ثُمَّ بَدَا لِي أَنْ أَنْحَلَهُ إِيَّاهُ فَقَالَتْ لَا أَرْضَى حَتَّى تَنْطَلِقَ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تُشْهِدُهُ قَالَ «هَلْ لَكَ وَلَدٌ غَيْرَهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «هَلْ أَتَيْتَ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِثْلَ الَّذِي أَتَيْتَ بهِ هَذَا؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «فَإِنِّي لَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى هَذَا هَذَا جَوْرٌ»

✧ My father took me with him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Indeed, Umrah bint Rawahah has requested from me that I release my son from my wealth, and I refused. But then it appeared to me that I should release him to her. She said, 'I will not accept until you come with him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a witness for me.' He said, 'Do you have any other children?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Have you treated all of them like you have treated this one?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Then I will not bear witness to this, as this is injustice.'"
