✧ Choosing to withhold for fear of others misunderstanders and falling into worse [situation]

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ أَنَّ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ وَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ» فَلَمَّا مَلَكَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ جَعَلَ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Were it not that your people have only recently left ignorance, I would have demolished the Kaaba and made for it two doors.” When Ibn al-Zubayr came to power, he made for it two doors.
