✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say in his sermon, praising Allah and extolling Him with what He deserves, then say, “Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray; and whomever He leads astray, none can guide. The truest of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ. The worst of matters are those newly invented, and every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.” Then he would say, “I and the Hour have been sent together like these two,” and he would join his two fingers. When the Hour was mentioned, his cheeks would turn red, his voice would rise, and his anger would intensify as though he were a warner of an army saying, “It will attack you morning or evening.” Then he said, “Whoever leaves wealth, it is for his family; and whoever leaves debt or dependents, they are upon me and to me, and I am the guardian of the believers.”
