✧ Staying Up Late for Knowledge

أَخْبَرَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أنبأنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فِي آخِرِ حَيَاتِهِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ «أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ فَإِنَّ عَلَى رَأْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مِنْهَا لَا يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed the Isha prayer with us one night in the latter part of his life. When he finished, he said: 'Do you see this night of yours? In one hundred years from it, none of those on the face of the earth will remain.'
