أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
أَقْبَلْتُ رَاكِبًا عَلَى حِمَارٍ وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ قَدْ نَاهَزْتُ الِاحْتِلَامَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ بِمِنًى فَمَرَرْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ بَعْضِ الصَّفِّ فَنَزَلْتُ فَأَرْسَلْتُ الْحِمَارَ تَرْتَعُ وَدَخَلْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ «فَلَمْ يُنْكَرْ ذَلِكَ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ»

✧ I came riding on a donkey, and on that day I had nearly reached puberty, while the Messenger of God ﷺ was praying with the people at Mina. I passed in front of part of the row, then dismounted, let the donkey loose to graze, and entered the row. No one objected to that.
