أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «دَعَا بِصَحِيفَةٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ لِيَكْتُبَ فِيهَا كِتَابًا لِأُمَّتِهِ لَا يَضِلُّونَ بَعْدَهُ وَلَا يُضِلُّونَ وَكَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ لَغَطٌ» وَتَكَلَّمَ عُمَرُ فَتَرَكَهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for a sheet during his illness to write on it a document for his community, so that they would not go astray after him nor lead others astray. There was noise in the house, and Umar spoke, so he left it.
