أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِذَا وَضَعَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا فَإِنَّ عِدَّتَهَا آخِرُ الْأَجَلَيْنِ قَالَ

أَبُو سَلَمَةَ فَقُلْتُ إِذَا وَضَعَتْ فَقَدْ حَلَّتْ وَانْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَقُولُ مَا قَالَ ابْنُ أَخِي فَقَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ فَبَعَثْنَا كُرَيْبًا إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ يَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَجَاءَنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهَا أَنَّ سُبَيْعَةَ تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا فَوَضَعَتْ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِأَيَّامٍ «فَأَمَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تَتَزَوَّجَ»

✧ Abu Salamah said: I said: When she gives birth, she has become lawful and her waiting period has ended. Abu Hurayrah said: I say what my nephew said. Abu Salamah said: So we sent Kurayb to Umm Salamah to ask her about that. He came to us from her with the news that Subay'ah's husband died, and she gave birth a few days after her husband's death, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded her to marry.
