أَخْبَرَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ غَزَا خَيْبَرَ فَصَلَّيْنَا عِنْدَهَا صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ بِغَلَسٍ فَرَكِبَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ وَرَكِبَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ وَأنا رَدِيفُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ فَأَخَذَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فِي آفَاقِ خَيْبَرَ وَإِنِّي لَأَرَى بَيَاضَ فَخِذِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ الْقَرْيَةَ قَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ وَخَرَجَ الْقَوْمُ إِلَى أَعْمَالِهِمْ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ فَقَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا وَالْخَمِيسُ فَأَصَبْنَاهَا عَنْوَةً فَجُمِعَ السَّبْيُ فَجَاءَ دِحْيَةُ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَعْطِنِي جَارِيَةً مِنَ السَّبْيِ قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَخُذْ جَارِيَةً فَأَخَذَ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَعْطَيْتَ دِحْيَةَ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ سَيِّدَةَ قُرَيْظَةَ وَالنَّضِيرِ مَا تَصْلُحُ إِلَّا لَكَ قَالَ «فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا» فَجَاءَ بِهَا فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ «خُذْ جَارِيَةً مِنَ السَّبْيِ غَيْرَهَا» قَالَ وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَعْتَقَهَا وَتَزَوَّجَهَا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالطَّرِيقِ جَهَّزَتْهَا لَهُ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَأَهْدَتْهَا لَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَأَصْبَحَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَرُوسًا قَالَ «مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ شَيْءٌ فَلْيَجِئْ بِهِ» وَبَسَطَ نِطَعًا فَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ يَجِيءُ بِالْأَقِطِ وَجَعَلَ يَجِيءُ بِالتَّمْرِ وَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ يَجِيءُ بِالسَّمْنِ فَحَاسُوا حَيْسَةً فَكَانَتْ وَلِيمَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raided Khaybar, and we prayed the dawn prayer near it in the darkness before dawn. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ mounted, and Abu Talhah mounted, and I was riding behind Abu Talhah. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ advanced through the outskirts of Khaybar, and I could see the whiteness of the thigh of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ. When he entered the village, he said: 'Allah is Greatest! Khaybar is ruined! When we descend upon a people's courtyard, terrible is the morning of those who have been warned.' He said it three times. He said: And the people came out to their work. Abd al-Aziz said: They said, 'Muhammad!' Abd al-Aziz said: And some of our companions said, 'And the army!' We conquered it by force, and the captives were gathered. Dihyah came and said, 'O Prophet of Allah, give me a slave girl from the captives.' He said, 'Go and take a slave girl.' He took Safiyyah bint Huyayy. A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Prophet of Allah, you gave Dihyah Safiyyah bint Huyayy, the chief of Qurayzah and al-Nadir? She is not suitable except for you.' He said, 'Call him with her.' He came with her. When the Prophet ﷺ looked at her, he said, 'Take a slave girl from the captives other than her.' He said: And the Prophet ﷺ freed her and married her. When he was on the road, Umm Sulaym prepared her for him and sent her to him at night, and in the morning the Prophet ﷺ was a bridegroom. He said, 'Whoever has anything, let him bring it.' He spread a leather mat, and a man would come with dried curd, and a man would come with dates, and a man would come with ghee, and they mixed a dish of dates and ghee, and that was the wedding feast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
