أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ جَاءَ عَلَيْهِ رَدْعُ زَعْفَرَانَ فَقَالَ

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَهْيَمْ» قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً قَالَ «وَمَا أَصْدَقْتَ؟» قَالَ وَزْنُ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ «أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Mahyam?” He said: “I have married a woman.” He said: “What did you give as her dower?” He said: “The weight of a date-stone of gold.” He said: “Hold a walima, even with a sheep.”
