✧ Breastfeeding of the elder

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ عَنْ عُقَيْلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ أَنَّ أُمَّهُ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ

أَنَّ أُمَّهَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَانَتْ تَقُولُ «أَبَى سَائِرُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَحَدٌ بِتِلْكَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَقُلْنَ لِعَائِشَةَ وَاللهِ مَا نَرَى هَذِهِ إِلَّا رُخْصَةً رَخَّصَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِسَالِمٍ خَاصَّةً فَمَا يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْنَا أَحَدٌ بِهَذِهِ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَلَا يَرَانَا»

✧ Her mother, Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, used to say: "The rest of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ refused that anyone should enter upon them by virtue of that breastfeeding. They said to A'ishah: By Allah, we consider this only a concession that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted specifically for Salim. No one enters upon us by this breastfeeding, nor sees us."
