✧ Breastfeeding of the elder

أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ سَهْلَةُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ سَالِمًا يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْنَا وَقَدْ عَلِمَ مَا يَعْلَمُ الرِّجَالُ وَعَقِلَ مَا يَعْقِلُ الرِّجَالُ قَالَ «أَرْضِعِيهِ تَحْرُمِي عَلَيْهِ بِذَلِكَ» فَمَكَثْتُ حَوْلًا لَا أُحَدِّثُ بِهِ فَلَقِيتُ الْقَاسِمَ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَ بِهِ وَلَا تَهَابُهُ

Translation

✧ Sahlah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, Salim enters upon us, and he has come to know what men know and understand what men understand. He said: "Breastfeed him, and you will become forbidden to him by that." She said: I remained for a year not speaking of it, then I met al-Qasim and he said: Speak of it and do not fear.
