أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ فَصَلَّى بِطَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْآخَرُونَ يُقْبِلُونَ عَلَى عَدُوِّهِمْ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ الْآخَرُونَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَكَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَلِلنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the prayer of fear with his companions. He prayed two rak'ahs with one group while the others were facing their enemy, then he said the salam. Then the others came and he prayed two rak'ahs with them, then he said the salam. Thus the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had four rak'ahs, and the people had two rak'ahs each.
