أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ هَنَّانٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ لِي جُرَيْرَةً أَنْتَبِذُ فِيهَا حَتَّى إِذَا غَلَى وَسَكَنَ شَرِبْتُهُ قَالَ

«مُذْ كَمْ هَذَا شَرَابُكَ؟» قُلْتُ مُذْ عِشْرُونَ سَنَةً أَوْ قَالَ مُذْ أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً قَالَ «طَالَمَا مَا تَرَوَّتْ عُرُوقُكَ مِنَ الْخَبَثِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَمِمَّا اعْتَلُّوا بِهِ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

✧ "Since when has this been your drink?" I said, "For twenty years," or he said, "For forty years." He said, "Long indeed have your veins been saturated with impurity." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Among what they cited as evidence is the hadith of Abdul-Malik b. Nafi' from Abdullah b. Umar.
