al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 5137

✧ Permission in the leakage that some of the narrations that we have mentioned have given permission in what was in the water containers of it.

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قِرَاءَةً قَالَ وَقَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْجَرِّ الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ سِقَاءً يُنْبَذُ لَهُ فِيهِ يُنْبَذُ لَهُ فِي تَوْرٍ مِنْ حِجَارَةٍ»

Translation

✧ I heard Jabir say: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the muzaffat jar (pitched earthen jar), dubba (gourd vessel), and naqir (hollowed-out wood). When the Prophet ﷺ could not find a water-skin in which to soak for him, it was soaked for him in a trough made of stone.”
