أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زَاذَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قُلْتُ
حَدِّثْنِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْأَوْعِيَةِ وَفَسِّرْهُ قَالَ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْحَنْتَمِ وَهُوَ الَّذِي تُسَمُّونَهُ أَنْتُمُ الْجَرَّ وَنَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَهُوَ الَّذِي تُسَمُّونَهُ الْقَرْعَ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّقِيرِ وَهِيَ النَّخْلَةُ تَنْقُرُونَهَا وَنَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَفَّتِ وَهُوَ الْمُقَيَّرُ»

✧ Tell me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about vessels and explain it. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the hantam, which is what you call the jar; and forbade the dubba, which is what you call the gourd; and forbade the naqir, which is a palm trunk that you hollow out; and forbade the muzaffat, which is the muqayyar.
