أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ

أَنَّ مُكَاتَبًا قُتِلَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَدَّى طَائِفَةً «فَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُودَى مَا أَدَّى مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَالًا دِيَةَ الْمَمْلُوكِ»

Translation

✧ That a mukatab was killed during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, and he had paid a portion. "He ordered that the diyah of a free man be paid for the portion he had paid, and the diyah of a slave for the rest."
