al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4918

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رَفِيعٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قُلْتُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ عَتَاقَةً فِيهَا شِرْكٌ فَتَمَامُ عِتْقِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي أَعْتَقَهُ» [25] 4919 وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْأَذْرَمِيِّ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ أَشْيَاخٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: “Yes.” He said: “Whoever frees a share he has in a slave, the completion of his emancipation is upon the one who freed him.” [25] 4919 And from Abdullah b. Muhammad b. Ishaq al-Adhrami, from Jarir, from Abd al-Aziz b. Rufay', from elders of the people of Makkah, from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ, similarly.
