✧ How to perform the Duha prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ عَمْرُو يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُرَّةَ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحَدٌ
أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى غَيْرُ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ فَإِنَّهَا ذَكَرَتْ يَوْمُ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ أَنَّهُ اغْتَسَلَ فِي بَيْتِهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَالَتْ «مَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّى صَلَاةً أَخَفَّ مِنْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتِمُّ الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ»

✧ He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying the Duha prayer—other than Umm Hani', for she mentioned on the day of the conquest of Makkah that he performed ghusl in her house and then prayed eight rak'ahs. She said: 'I never saw him pray a prayer lighter than it, except that he completed the bowing and the prostration.'
