أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ رُمَيْثَةَ قَالَتْ

أَصْبَحْتُ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْنَا قَامَتْ فَاغْتَسَلَتْ ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ بَيْتًا لَهَا فَأَجَافَتِ الْبَابَ قُلْتُ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا أَصْبَحْتُ عِنْدَكَ إِلَّا لِهَذِهِ السَّاعَةِ قَالَتْ فَادْخُلِي قَالَتْ فَدَخَلْتُ فَقَامَتْ فَصَلَّتْ ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ لَا أَدْرِي أَقِيَامُهُنَّ أَطْوَلُ أَمْ رُكُوعَهُنَّ أَمْ سُجُودُهُنَّ؟ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَتْ إِلَيَّ فَضَرَبَتْ فَخِذِي فَقَالَتْ يَا رُمَيْثَةُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّيَهَا وَلَوْ نُشِرَ لِي أَبَوَايَ عَلَى تَرْكِهَا مَا تَرَكْتُهَا [267] 485 وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ أَنَّ رُمَيْثَةَ بِنْتَ حَكِيمٍ حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّهَا أَتَتْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَهُ مَوْقُوفاً

✧ I entered upon 'Ā'ishah in the morning. When morning came, she arose, performed ghusl, then entered a room of hers and closed the door. I said: O Mother of the Believers, I have only come to you at this hour. She said: Then enter. She said: So I entered. She stood and prayed eight rak'ahs. I do not know whether her standing in them was longer, or her bowing, or her prostration. Then she turned to me and struck my thigh, saying: O Rumaythah, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying them. If my parents were brought back to life to admonish me to abandon them, I would not abandon them. [267] 485 And from Muḥammad b. Salamah, from Ibn Wahb, from 'Amr b. al-Ḥārith, from Bukayr b. al-Ashajj, from Ya'qūb b. al-Ashajj, from al-Qa'qā' b. Ḥakīm, that Rumaythah bt. Ḥakīm narrated to him that she came to 'Ā'ishah, and he mentioned it as mawqūf.
