أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَلَفْتُ بِاللَّاتِ وَالْعُزَّى فَقَالَ
أَصْحَابِي بِئْسَ مَا قُلْتَ هُجْرًا فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَانْفُثْ عَنْ شِمَالِكَ ثَلَاثًا وَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ثُمَّ لَا تَعُدْ»

✧ My companions said: "What you said is evil and obscene." So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: "Say, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.' And blow to your left three times, and seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan. Then do not repeat it."
