أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ وَلَا بِأُمَّهَاتِكُمْ وَلَا بِالْأَنْدَادِ وَلَا تَحْلِفُوا بِاللهِ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ صَادِقُونَ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not swear by your fathers, nor by your mothers, nor by the false gods. And do not swear by Allah unless you are truthful."
