al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4624

✧ Mentioning the various chains of narrations regarding the prohibition of renting land for one-third or one-fourth, and the differences in wording among the narrators.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الْأَزْرَقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْخُذُ كِرَاءَ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى حَدَّثَهُ رَافِعٌ عَنْ بَعْضِ عُمُومَتِهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ فَتَرَكَهَا بَعْدُ» رَوَاهُ أَيُّوبُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ رَافِعٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَمَّهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mubārak
  2. Isḥāq al-Azraq
  3. Ibn ʿAwn
  4. Nāfiʿ
  5. Ibn ʿUmar

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited renting land, so he abandoned it after that. Ayyub b. Kaysan narrated it from Nafi' from Rafi', and he did not mention his uncle.
