أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ عَنْ جُوَيْرِيَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَنَّ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَهُ وَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ عَمَّيْهِ وَكَانَا قَدْ شَهِدَا بَدْرًا أَخْبَرَاهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ» فَتَرَكَ عَبْدُ اللهِ كِرَاءَهَا وَكَانَ يُكْرِيهَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ تَابَعَهُ عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited renting farms. 'Abd Allah then abandoned renting them, whereas he used to rent them before that. 'Uqayl b. Khalid concurred with him.
