أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَامٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الْحَقْلِ وَهُو الْمُزَابَنَةُ» خَالَفَهُ هِشَامٌ فَقَالَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. Idrīs
  2. Abū Tawbah
  3. Muʿāwiyah b. Salām
  4. Yaḥyá b. Abū Kathīr
  5. Yazīd b. Nuʿaym
  6. Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

✧ The Prophet ﷺ forbade haql, which is muzabanah. Hisham differed from him and said: from Yahya b. Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Jabir.
