أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «سَابَقَ الْخَيْلَ يُرْسِلُهَا مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ وَكَانَ أَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضْمَرْ وَكَانَ أَمَدُهَا مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raced horses, sending them from al-Hafyaʾ, and their course was up to Thaniyyat al-Wadaʿ. And he held a race between horses that had not been trained, and their course was from the Thaniyya to the mosque of Banu Zurayq.
