أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ بَحِيرٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بِلَالٍ عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَخْتَصِمُ الشُّهَدَاءُ وَالْمُتَوَفَّوْنَ عَلَى فُرُشِهِمْ إِلَى رَبِّنَا فِي الَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ فَيَقُولُ الشُّهَدَاءُ إِخْوَانُنَا قُتِلُوا كَمَا قُتِلْنَا وَيَقُولُ الْمُتَوَفَّوْنَ عَلَى فُرُشِهِمْ إِخْوَانُنَا مَاتُوا عَلَى فُرُشِهِمْ كَمَا مُتْنَا فَيَقُولُ رَبُّنَا انْظُرُوا إِلَى جِرَاحِهِمْ فَإِنْ أَشْبَهَ جِرَاحُهُمْ جِرَاحَ الْمَقْتُولِينَ فَإِنَّهُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَمَعَهُمْ فَإِذَا جِرَاحُهُمْ قَدْ أَشْبَهْتَ جِرَاحَهُمْ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The martyrs and those who die on their beds will dispute before our Lord concerning those who die of plague. The martyrs will say, ‘Our brothers, they were killed as we were killed.’ Those who die on their beds will say, ‘Our brothers, they died on their beds as we died.’ Then our Lord will say, ‘Look at their wounds. If their wounds resemble the wounds of the slain, then they are of them and with them.’ And their wounds resemble their wounds.”
