أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكَّارِ بْنِ بِلَالٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ سَمِيعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَمَاتَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَهُ هَاجَرَ أَوْ مَاتَ فِي مَوْلِدِهِ» فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا تُخْبِرُ بِهَا النَّاسَ فَلْيُبَشَّرُوا بِهَا؟ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ مِائَةُ دَرَجَةٍ مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَعَدَّهَا لِلْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ وَلَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا تَطِيبُ أَنْفُسُهُمْ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا بَعْدِي مَا قَعَدْتُ خَلْفَ سَرِيَّةٍ وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أُقْتَلُ ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever establishes prayer, gives zakah, and dies not associating anything with Allah, it is a right upon Allah to forgive him, whether he migrated or died in his birthplace." We said: "O Messenger of Allah, should we not inform the people so they may be given glad tidings?" He said: "Paradise has one hundred degrees, the distance between each two degrees being like that between the heaven and the earth. Allah has prepared them for the mujahidun in His path. Were it not that I would cause hardship for the believers, and I do not find mounts to carry them on, and they would not be pleased to stay behind after me, I would not remain behind any expedition. I would love to be killed, then brought to life, then killed again."
