✧ The reward for those who endure the effort and hardship of the city.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ بَيْتَ اللهِ وَأَمَّنَهُ وَإِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا لَا يُصْطَادُ صَيْدُهَا وَلَا يُقْطَعُ عِضَاهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Indeed, Ibrahim declared the House of Allah sacred and made it secure, and I declare al-Madīnah sacred—what lies between its two lava tracts: its game is not to be hunted and its thorn trees are not to be cut.”
