أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَدِيِّ ابْنِ الْحَمْرَاءِ
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِالْحَزْوَرَةِ بِمَكَّةَ يَقُولُ لِمَكَّةَ «وَاللهِ إِنَّكِ لَخَيْرُ أَرْضِ اللهِ وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللهِ إِلَى اللهِ وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ»

✧ He informed him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while standing on his mount at al-Ḥazwarah in Makkah, saying to Makkah, "By Allah, you are the best of Allah's land and the most beloved of Allah's land to Allah. Had I not been driven out from you, I would not have left."
