أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ عَلَيْهَا رَدْعٌ مِنْ زَعْفَرَانٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَحْرَمْتُ فِيمَا تَرَى وَالنَّاسُ يَسْخَرُونَ مِنِّي فَأَطْرَقَ عَنْهُ هُنَيَّةً ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ «اخْلَعْ عَنْكَ هَذِهِ الْجُبَّةَ وَاغْسِلْ عَنْكَ هَذَا الزَّعْفَرَانَ وَاصْنَعْ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ كَمَا تَصْنَعُ فِي حَجِّكَ» 4225 وأَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ
Translation

✧ A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing a jubbah with a trace of saffron on it and said: O Messenger of God, I have entered iḥrām as you see, and people are mocking me. He was silent for a moment, then called him and said: “Take off this jubbah, wash off this saffron, and do in your ʿumrah what you do in your ḥajj.” 4225: Yaʿqūb informed us; Hushaym narrated to us from ʿAbd al-Malik, from ʿAṭāʾ, from Yaʿlā b. Umayyah, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of that.
