أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ
نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ «مَا مَنَعَكِ أَنْ تَحُجِّي مَعَنَا؟» قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَانَ لَنَا نَاضِحَانِ فَعَمَدَ أَبُو فُلَانٍ لِزَوْجِهَا وَابْنُهَا إِلَى نَاضِحٍ فَرَكِبَا عَلَيْهِ وَتَرَكَا لَنَا نَاضِحًا نَنْضَحُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِي فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

✧ The Prophet of God ﷺ said to a woman from the Anṣār: “What prevented you from performing Hajj with us?” She said: O Messenger of God, we had two watering camels. The father of so-and-so—meaning her husband—and her son took one and rode it, leaving us the other to water with. The Prophet of God ﷺ said: “When Ramadan comes, perform ʿumrah, for an ʿumrah in it equals a Hajj.”
