أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ
«اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ يَطُوفُ فَجَعَلْنَا نَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ أَنْ يَرْمِيَهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُ بِشَيْءٍ»

✧ “The Messenger of God ﷺ performed ʿumrah, circumambulated the House, then went out between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah walking, and we shielded him from the people of Makkah lest one of them throw something at him or strike him with anything.”
