أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ نَامَ الْغُلَامُ وَبَعْدَمَا صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ «صَلَّى بَعْدَهَا أَرْبَعًا ثُمَّ قَامَ اللَّيْلَ فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَاجْتَذَبَنِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَصَلَّى خَمْسَ رَكَعَاتٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَنَامَ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ غَطِيطَهُ أَوْ خَطِيطَهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»

✧ I spent the night in the house of my maternal aunt Maymunah bt. al-Harith. The Prophet ﷺ came and said: "Has the boy slept?" after he had prayed the later Isha prayer. Then he prayed four rak'ahs after it. Then he got up at night, and I came and stood on his left. He pulled me and placed me on his right. He prayed five rak'ahs, then two, then slept until I heard his snoring or his heavy breathing. Then he went out to the prayer.
