أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ الْأَحْمَسِيِّ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَتْ

«حَجَجْتُ فِي حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَرَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا آخِذًا يَقُودُ بِخِطَامِ رَاحِلَتِهِ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ رَافِعٌ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَهُ يُظِلُّهُ مِنَ الْحَرِّ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَذَكَرَ قَوْلًا كَثِيرًا»

✧ “I performed Hajj during the Hajj of the Prophet ﷺ, and I saw Bilāl holding the reins of his mount, leading it, while Usāmah b. Zayd had raised a garment over him to shade him from the heat, and he was in iḥrām until he threw Jamrat al-ʿAqabah. Then he addressed the people, praised Allah, extolled Him, and mentioned many words.”
