أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأنا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سُئِلَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ مَعَهُ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسِيرُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ حِينَ دَفَعَ قَالَ «كَانَتْ تَسِيرُ نَاقَتُهُ الْعَنَقَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَجْوَةً نَصَّ»

✧ Usamah b. Zayd was asked, while I was sitting with him, how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled during the Farewell Hajj when he moved on. He said: “His she-camel would travel at a brisk pace, and when he found an open space, he would urge her faster.”
