✧ The Differences among the Narrators regarding the News of Abdullah b. Abbas on the Method of the Prophet's ﷺ Night Prayer.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَثَّامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يَنْصَرِفُ فَيَسْتَاكُ قَالَ عَثَّامٌ يَعْنِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ

Translation

  6. Ibn ʿAbbās

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray two rak'ahs, then finish and use the siwak. 'Aththam said: meaning the two rak'ahs before dawn.
