أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ أَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنَ شَيْبَانَ قَالَ كُنَّا وُقُوفًا بِعَرَفَةَ مَكَانًا بَعِيدًا مِنَ الْمَوْقِفِ فَأَتَانَا ابْنُ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ

إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَيْكُمْ يَقُولُ لَكُمْ «كُونُوا عَلَى مَشَاعِرِكُمْ فَإِنَّكُمْ عَلَى إِرْثٍ مِنْ إِرْثِ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ»

Translation

✧ I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to you, saying to you: 'Stay at your sacred sites, for you are upon an inheritance from the inheritance of your father Ibrahim.'
