أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ذَهَبَ إِلَى الصَّفَا فَرَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى بَدَا لَهُ الْبَيْتُ ثُمَّ وَحَّدَ اللهَ وَكَبَّرَهُ وَقَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ثُمَّ مَشَى حَتَّى إِذَا انْصَبَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ سَعَى حَتَّى إِذَا صَعِدَتْ قَدَمَاهُ مَشَى حَتَّى أَتَى الْمَرْوَةَ فَفَعَلَ عَلَيْهَا كَمَا فَعَلَ عَلَى الصَّفَا حَتَّى قَضَى طَوَافَهُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to Safa and climbed it until the House became visible to him. Then he declared the oneness of Allah, proclaimed His greatness, and said: 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He has power over all things.' Then he walked until his feet reached [the bottom of the valley], he ran until his feet ascended, he walked until he came to Marwa, and he did upon it as he had done upon Safa, until he completed his circumambulation.
