✧ The Excellence of the Late Night Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

أَعْتَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْعِشَاءِ حَتَّى نَادَاهُ عُمَرُ نَامَ النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ غَيْرُكُمْ» وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَحَدٌ يُصَلِّي غَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the 'isha' prayer until 'Umar called him, "The women and children have slept." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out and said: "There is no one who prays this prayer except you." At that time no one prayed except the people of Madinah.
