✧ The place of prayer in the house

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ يَعْنِي الْفَضْلَ بْنَ دُكَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيْفُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ أَذِنَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ فَقِيلَ هَذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ قَالَ فَأَقْبَلْتُ فَأَجِدُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ خَرَجَ وَأَجِدُ بِلَالًا عَلَى الْبَابِ قَائِمًا فَقُلْتُ يَا بِلَالُ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ أَيْنَ؟ قَالَ «مَا بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ الْأُسْطُوَانَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي وَجْهِ الْكَعْبَةِ»

✧ I heard Mujahid say: Ibn ʿUmar gave permission at his dwelling, and it was said, “This is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who has entered the Kaʿbah.” He said: So I came forward and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ already coming out, and I found Bilal standing at the door. I said, “O Bilal, did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray inside the Kaʿbah?” He said, “Yes.” I said, “Where?” He said, “Between these two pillars, two units, then he came out and prayed two units facing the Kaʿbah.”
