✧ Prohibition of covering the face and head of the deceased

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مَالَجَ بَغْدَادِيٌّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ حَاجًّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَّهُ لَبَطَهُ بَعِيرُهُ فَمَاتَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُغَسَّلُ وَيُكَفَّنُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَلَا يُغَطَّى رَأْسُهُ وَوَجْهُهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَقُومُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا»

✧ That a man was performing Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and his camel threw him down and he died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “He should be washed and shrouded in two garments, and his head and face should not be covered, for he will rise on the Day of Resurrection reciting the talbiyah.”
