✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ set out intending Makkah while in ihram. When he was at al-Rawha, there was a wild donkey that had been shot and was wounded. That was mentioned to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said: “Leave it, for its owner will soon come.” Then al-Bahzi—its owner—came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of God, this donkey is yours to deal with.” So the Messenger of God ﷺ ordered Abu Bakr, and he distributed it among the traveling groups. Then he went on. When he was at al-Uthayah, between al-Ruwaythah and al-ʿArj, there was a gazelle crouching in the shade with an arrow in it. He claimed that the Messenger of God ﷺ ordered a man to stand by it so that no one would disturb it until he passed by.
