The permissibility of canceling Hajj with Umrah for those who have not offered the sacrifice

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَبُو حَفْصٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ فَلَمَّا دَنَوْنَا مِنْ مَكَّةَ «أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يَحِلَّ»

✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ thinking it was only the Hajj. When we approached Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded those who had a sacrificial animal to remain in ihram, and those who did not have one to exit ihram.
