✧ The Tradition of Camels

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَفْلَحُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«فَتَلْتُ قَلَائِدَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِي ثُمَّ قَلَّدَهَا وَأَشْعَرَهَا وَوَجَّهَهَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ وَبَعَثَ بِهَا وَأَقَامَ فَمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئًا كَانَ لَهُ حَلَالًا»

Translation

✧ I twisted the garlands for the sacrificial camels of the Messenger of God ﷺ with my own hands, then he garlanded them and marked them and directed them toward the House, and sent them, and stayed, and nothing that had been lawful for him became forbidden to him.
