✧ Hajj without intention is something the pilgrim desires

أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ ثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ قَالَ جَابِرٌ قَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ مِنْ سِعَايَتِهِ فَقَالَ

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «بِمَا أَهْلَلْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ؟» قَالَ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ «فَاهْدِ وَامْكُثْ حَرَامًا كَمَا أَنْتَ» قَالَ وَأَهْدَى لَهُ عَلِيٌّ هَدْيًا

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'With what did you enter iḥrām, O ʿAlī?' He said: 'With what the Prophet ﷺ entered iḥrām.' He said: 'Then offer a sacrificial animal and remain in iḥrām as you are.' He said: And ʿAlī offered a sacrificial animal for him.
