al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 3643

✧ The prohibition of wearing the turban during the pilgrimage.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

نَادَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ مَا نَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا؟ قَالَ لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ نِعَالًا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ نِعَالٌ فَخُفَّيْنِ دُونَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِوَرْسٍ أَوْ زَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ أَوْ زَعْفَرَانٌ

Translation

✧ A man called out to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'What may we wear when we enter ihram?' He said: 'Do not wear shirts, trousers, or khuffs, unless there are no sandals. If there are no sandals, then khuffs below the ankles. And do not wear a garment dyed with wars or saffron, or touched by wars or saffron.'
