✧ Praying before Asr.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَاصِمَ بْنَ ضَمْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَأَلْنَا عَلِيًّا

عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَوَصَفَ وَقَالَ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ أَرْبَعًا وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَقَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ أَرْبَعًا وَيَفْصِلُ بَيْنَ كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِالتَّسْلِيمِ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَهُمْ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ»

✧ About the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He described it and said: He used to pray four (rakʿahs) before Dhuhr and two after it, and four before ʿAsr, and he would separate between each two rakʿahs with the taslīm upon the angels brought near, the prophets, and those who followed them from among the Muslims.
