✧ Seeking Laylat al-Qadr in the ninth, seventh, and fifth

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي أُرِيتُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ حَتَّى تَلَاحَى رَجُلَانِ فَرُفِعَتْ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي التَّاسِعَةِ وَالسَّابِعَةِ وَالْخَامِسَةِ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us in Ramadan and said: “I was shown this night until two men argued, and it was taken away. So seek it in the ninth, the seventh, and the fifth.”
